Special Interactions[ | ]
- Abjudicator belongs to the Arcanyst tribe.
- Discounted spells that are replaced retain the Abjudicator discount.
- Spells cannot be discounted below 0 mana.
Strategy[ | ]
Abjudicator's unique effect is mirrored by its unique place in only one deck type--combo. This card shines in combo decks. For instance, it is played in an Aggro Reva combo variant which uses combo pieces such as Mirror Meld, Saberspine Seal, and Tusk Boar to OTK an opponent. In such a deck, Abjudicator plays a key role in discounting spells, allowing for explosive turns. Outside of combo decks (which are a very rare sight in Duelyst), it does not see regular play. Its effect, while nice to have in conventional decks, does not make up for its weak statline.
Gauntlet Strategy[ | ]
Gauntlet decks tend not to run very many spells, so it often becomes a 3-mana 3/1 that, on average, discounts a spell or two. Its Arcanyst tag makes it work well with Owlbeast Sage, but it is overall extremely weak.
