|Ability||Your opponent's non-Bloodbound spells cost 1 more to cast.|
Description[edit | edit source]
Your opponent's non-Bloodbound spells cost 1 more to cast.
Interactions[edit | edit source]
Archon Spellbinder's effect is stackable, so for every copy of it on the battlefield the opponent's spells cost 1 mana more.
Strategies[edit | edit source]
A staple in an older version of Duelyst, Archon Spellbinder rarely sees play. Despite it boasting strong stats for its cost, players find it too slow and too ineffectual to include in a deck. Further, its effect is only marginally useful: it does not increase the cost of the enemy General's Bloodbound Spell. This prevents Archon from consistently and thoroughly disrupting enemy turns. Such a glaring hole in Spellbinder's effect limits the card's defensive capabilites significantly, wavering players' faith in the card.
