Arctic Displacer is a common Vanar Vespyr minion.

Strategy

On first glance, one might assume Arctic Displacer is played often due to its massive attack value. However, its incredibly frail body limits its viability. Most decks have several ways to safely deal 4 damage on 5 mana. That said, Displacer has some combo potential with Spirit of the Wild. After a mana discount, Arctic Displacer can be played with Spirit of the Wild for 9 mana to deal 10 damage to the enemy General. this combo, however, is extremely costly. Even still, it is rather condiditonal: the enemy must not be positioned too far toward the Vanar player's side of the board for the combo to succeed. Because this combo is so conditional and costly, it is hardly ever played.
