Beastbound Savage carries powerful Keywords in Celerity and Frenzy, making it a fair buff target. However, its base stats relative to its mana cost leave much to be desired. This card never sees play.
Gauntlet Strategy[ | ]
In Gauntlet, unlike in Constructed, Beastbound Savage can be a powerhouse. Paired with any buff (especially the likes of Killing Edge/Wailing Overdrive/Afterblaze), it can win the game immediately by providing a huge threat and board clear simultaneously. Without a buff, it still makes it a risky proposition for the opposing general to protect themselves with minions.
